Mission&History
Christ Lutheran Church  The Church in the Park, started as a mission of Lutherans that used the Grantland Theater for worship. Following, we were at the white wood framed church that is still in use on Tyler Street in Lancaster. What does that say about us? We are a church following a mission -
Redeemed by God's Grace and Spirit, we grow in faith through Christ by worshiping, welcoming, sharing, and serving.
Christ Lutheran has an active outreach through its support of Lutheran World Relief, Habitat for Humanity, Wycliffe Bible Translators, Foreign Missionaries, and more locally, Grant County Hospice, the Lancaster Area Churches Food Pantry, activities and worship services at our nursing homes.
Worship and Education help form us for mission, as members lead our Sunday school, Adult Bible Study, and Confirmation. Youth are active in National Gatherings, Sugar Creek Bible Camp, and local Highway 61 clean-up, serving at the local food pantry, taking part in mission trips, serving as readers, acolytes, and greeters.
Sharing and serving together, we invite others to worship and fellowship so that we may continue to grow in the mission that Christ has given us.
